Garage door styles we install
The right door balances looks, insulation, security and budget. Here are the main styles for Queens and Long Island homes:

Steel
The most popular choice — durable, low-maintenance, available in many colors and insulation levels.
Insulated
Polystyrene or polyurethane cores rated by R-value for better temperature control, quieter operation and added strength.
Carriage-house
Classic swing-door look with modern overhead convenience — strong curb appeal for Long Island colonials and capes.
Modern flush & full-view glass
Clean flush panels or aluminum-and-glass full-view doors for contemporary homes and bright interiors.
Choosing the right door
During the estimate we help you weigh the choices that actually matter for your home:
- Insulation / R-value — important for attached garages, rooms above the garage, and workshop use; less critical for a detached, unconditioned garage.
- Single vs. double — one wide double door or two singles changes both looks and structure.
- Windows — top-row window sections add light and style; obscure or insulated glass keeps privacy and efficiency.
- Color & finish — from classic white to wood-grain and dark modern tones that match trim and shutters.
- Opener compatibility — we confirm your existing opener suits the new door’s weight, or recommend an upgrade.

Installation FAQs
Can you install a new garage door the same day?
Installation starts with a free in-home estimate and measurement. Because the door is sized for your opening, the installation is scheduled after measuring — it isn’t a same-day service like most repairs. We’ll confirm realistic timing when we measure.
Should I get an insulated door?
If your garage is attached, used as a workspace, or sits under living space, an insulated door (rated by R-value) helps with temperature, noise and rigidity. For a detached, unconditioned garage it matters less. We’ll walk through what fits.
Will a new door work with my existing opener?
Often yes, if the opener is healthy and sized for the new door’s weight. Heavier insulated doors sometimes need a stronger opener or new springs. We check compatibility during the estimate.
Do you remove the old door?
Yes. Installation includes removing your old door and hardware and hauling it away.
